Technical Capacity
Printing Works of the Bulgarian National Bank Corp. is equipped with state-of-the-art printing equipment covering the entire production cycle of a wide range of secure print products, from concept formation and development of the design to packing and delivery. The production portfolio includes banknotes, identity documents and securities of various levels of protection and personalization, as well as standard print products.
Printing Works of the Bulgarian National Bank Corp. was the first in the country to acquire the new Goebel’s all-in-one hybrid tax stamp press, which gave the company a unique advantage and made it a leader on the Bulgarian printing market.
The Printing Works uses high-tech design software and prepress equipment expanding further the scope of printing services provided by the company. The available equipment allows for offset and metallographic printing. The available equipment allows for offset and metallographic printing.
A variety of machines are used to add security features to documents requiring higher level of protection, such as machines for holographic foils and kinegrams application, hot foil embossing and die cutting. The Printing Works has a special bookbinding line for production of book-type products.

Special measures are taken to ensure and maintain quality and quantity control in full compliance with the international standards at every stage of the production process. All securities are printed under the supervision of the Ministry of Finance.
The system for controlled destruction of the trim waste ensures transparency and traceability of the used raw materials.

Our graphic design studio is equipped with highly sophisticated software specially developed for the design of security print products.
