Banknote Production

The Banknote production line consists of modern super size printing machines and additional equipment, which ensures the whole production cycle - from pre-press to finishing.

The whole equipment of BNB Printing Works Corp. was supplied and installed after 1997 and such equipment can be possessed only by printing works of the same class.

The machines enable the technologies of offset and metallographic print. BNB Printing Works Corp. is experienced in the production of banknotes containing all modern and sophisticated security elements.

The Galvano Department is equipped with the latest version of special equipment, necessary for conventional metallographic printing forms manufacturing. The original plates are prepared in the factory by chemical etching from employees, who are specially trained for this job. Recently the technology has been improved with some new elements for advancing the visual colour acceptance of the image, as well as for security perfection.

Quality control

The BNB Printing Works Corp. does not compromise its materials and technology, including plate making, printing and finishing. The incoming control of raw materials precedes the production.

There are firm regulations about control of the quality of each stage of the production process.

A special laboratory controls the end products. Laboratory tests, used by the most reputable companies are applied.

In the last few years was gained wide experience by making all Bulgarian banknotes, passports, visas, as well as by printing securities and plates for banknotes for foreign clients.
