Because of the specific features of the production, the BNB Printing Works established very high security standards.

• High level of physical security of the building.
• Special access zones for the employees, depending on their service obligations. Access for visitors is given after authorization and strict control.
• Careful investigation of all staff.
• Control of incoming and outgoing transport.
• Keys, safes, and computer control.
• Careful investigation of the clients and their authorization to order banknotes and securities.
• Video control in the building and the applied areas, as well as in the manufacturing and to the other rooms.
• Organized control on the movement of the materials and the production.
• Vaults for storing the production.
• Special regime concerning the delivery of finished products.

Security Mechanisms

The company’s security in the building is guaranteed through state of art coordinated mechanisms and procedures.

Production Quality control

Strict measures are introduced with regard to the production control. These measures ensure the high quality of the final product. Special departments control the quality of paper on every stage of the securities production . The visual control rules are based on our own and international experience and are in accordance with the requirements for production of EURO-banknotes and for the passports of most of the European countries.

Protection of the Building

The currently operating physical security system of the Printing works is secured to a very high degree. There are different areas of access, which provide first class physical protection for the site. The very building represents a group of ten functionally interrelated independent blocks with production and administrative designation. In terms of installations the building is highly equipped, specially furnished and completely safe, regarding security and natural disasters.

BNB Printing Works operates in accordance with the requirements of the Classified Information Protection Act.
