Bulgarian National Bank Printing Works Corp. developed and implemented an Integrated Management System, in compliance with Standards:

Bulgarian National Bank Printing Works Corp is the first in Bulgaria to implement an Information Security Management System certified under BS 7799-2:2002 /British Standard 7799-2:2002/ in May 2004, recertified under BS ISO/IEC 27 001:2005 in October 2007, in compliance with the regulations of Standard ISO/IEC 17799:2005 INFORMATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES, Informational Security Management Practical Code.

The Information Security Management System encompasses all processes and activities of the Printing Works. It refers to the information assets risk analysis and management, constant monitoring and security enhancement activities.

The Information Security Policy of Printing Works management is directed towards evolving a functioning system of control objectives and mechanisms, which falls in line with the requirements of the International Standards and provisions for confidentiality, inviolability of information and accessibility of the information database of the Company.

CWA 14641:2006 /CEN WORKSHOP AGREEMENT/ is an International Standard, applied for the developing and implementing of Security Management Systems in printing houses whose products have a certain level of security, which, depending on the degree of coverage of the Standard falls into two groups, namely ‘Security Management System’/Security Printer/ if a part of the requirements is covered, or ‘High Security Management System’/High Security Printer/ if all requirements are covered.

The BNB Printing Works is one of the first banknote printers in Europe that has implemented the CWA Standard. Issued INTERGRAF certificate of High Security Management System for Security Printer verifies the coverage of all requirements of the Standard in terms of Quality and Security Management of the printing works’ products.

In July 2004 BNB Printing Works Corp. was certified by Moody International under EN ISO 9001:2008; and in October 2005 under International Standards ISO 14 001:2004 for an Environment Quality Standard Management System and under OHSAS 18 001:2002 for an Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series Management System.
